However, Larry and Alison have now only just revealed the cast never stepped foot in Essex! "Gavin & Stacey was all filmed in Wales, nobody offered us the opportunity to go to Essex," Larry admitted to Radio Times. "[Producers] said, 'Billericay's where you're from', so we just got on with it, we just do what we're told." The revelation comes after the two stars are reuniting for a brand-new TV show. The pair will take a trip down memory lane with their new project Alison & Larry: Billericay to Barry, which will see the two actors finally make the 210-mile road trip from Essex to Wales. It's been revealed that they will visit beauty spots in the countryside on their journey as well as locations that have an "intimate connection to them and Gavin and Stacey". They are also set to take part in activities designed to "unleash their inner" Pam and Mick and will get the chance to meet up with old friends from the sitcom along the way.
