The comment was met with raptures of laughter as Hislop tore into the ex-England right back saying the issue was the "elephant in the room". Asked what Neville's defence was for taking the job, the pundit replied: "Well, I think you've got a choice, haven't you?" But Hislop didn't miss a beat, slamming "What, going and not going?" Visibly shaken, Neville - who won 400 caps for United - replied: "My view always has been that you either highlight the issues and challenges in these countries and speak about them. "Or you don't say anything and you stay back home and don't go. I've always said we should challenge them."
