Arsenal threw away a win over Tottenham in the North London Derby, with Manchester United legend Gary Neville raising concerns about the make up of Mikel Arteta’s squad
Gary Neville believes Arsenal are still missing a true centre-forward after throwing away a win in the North London Derby.
The Gunners twice went ahead against Tottenham at the Emirates on Sunday, but their fierce rivals pegged them back both times. A draw was a fair result, but the hosts were left rueing a number of missed chances.
They had 13 shots in total, with six of them being on target, as both Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah started. Jesus was taken off with 13 minutes remaining in favour of academy graduate Reiss Nelson.
But it was a moment right at the death that led to Neville questioning the quality of Arsenal’s forward options. As a corner came in, Nketiah was lurking towards the back post but failed to continue his run, spurning a good chance to score as the ball flew past him.
