Former footballer’s spoken word performance follows controversy about his views on Government migration policy
Gary Lineker has performed a spoken word poem about human rights on a new single featuring voices of south Asian women.
The BBC presenter and Match of the Day host recited a short poem for musician Nitin Sawhney on his new track, titled Illegal, about equality.
“Every human being is born with equal value,” Lineker says on the track, adding: “But they die with the value given, or taken, by the world.”
Mr Sawhney, a British-born musician who has released jazz, hip-hop, orchestral and electronic music, put out the new song on Friday.
