After returning last year with only three episodes, GamesMaster was enough of a success for a new, social media focused 2023 series.
Last year, Channel 4 revived/rebooted GamesMaster, the classic 90s games show that became a mainstream hit in its own right.
Despite all the buzz surrounding it, it seemed to leave just as suddenly as it returned, with only three episodes last November, across E4 and the E4 YouTube channel.
Fortunately, it appears to have been successful enough for Channel 4 to commission a second series.
From the sound of things, the decision to release GamesMaster episodes via YouTube first, before airing them on E4, paid off since Channel 4 aims to turn the show into a ‘gaming ecosystem’ on its social platforms.
