Full respect! Flying Fiji are a wonder of the rugby world

When you think of the great rugby nations you tend to focus on places like New Zealand and South Africa. Those are the traditional powerhouses, multiple World Cup winners and producers of a seemingly endless stream of great players. But for very different reasons I’d argue that Fiji should be considered one of the wonders of the rugby world as well.

Fiji has long punched far above its weight in the sport. From a population of less than one million, it has produced an incredible number of outrageously talented players. Players like Waisele Serevi, Rupeni Caucaunibuca, Sireli Bobo and Leone Nakarawa, right up to the current crop with guys like Semi Radradra and Edinburgh’s own Bill Mata.
