Four free agents Everton can sign after Arnaut Danjuma to protect budget

The Dutchman is due to finally sign on the dotted line at Goodison Park until the end of the season after snubbing the Toffees for Tottenham in the January window at the eleventh hour. Now Danjuma has spoken to Sean Dyche and has provided assurances he wants to get his career back on track at Everton following his miserable spell with Spurs. The Dutchman has unfinished business in English football having also previously caught the eye with Bournemouth before his move to eastern Spain. He will follow Ashley Young through the door meaning the pair will arrive for a combined £3.5m in transfer fees, as Young was a free agent following his release from Aston Villa. As Everton continue to scout the market for bargains, Express Sport analyses four free agents they could seek to target to bolster Dyche’s squad. The Japan international had looked destined to sign for AC Milan before the deal collapsed following Paolo Maldini’s departure at San Siro in early June. Other clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Roma have all looked at signing Kamada but it appears his signature is still up for grabs. The 26-year-old has been one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga in the past few years and would add creativity, quality and class to Everton’s midfield options. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain It might be somewhat controversial but with Ox still yet to find another club, he could be forgiven for joining the Toffees if they were to come calling. Of course, the decision would not prove popular back at Anfield but ultimately, the England international currently looks short of options as he seeks to get his career back on track. Chamberlain has fallen off the map in the past few years largely due to the knee injury that derailed the best season of his career in April 2018. Yet he still has plenty to give and could play both out wide or centrally for Dyche’s side if he was to be handed a contract. The ex-Wolves powerhouse was exceptional in spells at Molineux and he is now looking for a new challenge after departing the Black Country. AC Milan were keen before withdrawing their interest while Real Betis and Al Ittihad have also been linked with the Spaniard. If coached and utilised effectively, Traore could be great value for money on a free transfer having previously torn teams apart during his time at Wolves. Moussa Dembele Everton simply need goals and Dembele is a player that has been looked at many times by the Toffees. Now he is available on a free transfer which should provide Everton with encouragement if they wish to sign the Frenchman. Furthermore, Dembele has experience in the Champions League and has a La Liga’s winners’ medal to go with the fact he has previously scored goals in British football with Celtic and Fulham. He is still a good age at 27 and has lots more to give despite an underwhelming spell in France with Lyon.
