Fortnite hasn’t had an update in three weeks due to Epic Games’ company-wide vacation
It’s been three weeks since the last Fortnite update, and while many were expecting a new one today, you’ll have to wait one more week.
Fortnite usually has an update every two weeks, but the last major update for Chapter 4 Season 3 was around a month ago when Fortnite update 25.10 dropped, with the very small Fortnite update 25.11 arriving one week later bringing us the Summer Escape event.
So what’s the deal? Why has the game gone so long without an update. Well, Epic Games employees actually have two batches of leave each year (once in summer and another in winter) where the entire company goes on a well-earned vacation. The leave lasted from July 3 to July 17, so while the team are back in office now, they’ll still need time to get an update out.
Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR has noted that version 25.20 has been added to the Fortnite staging servers, meaning that Fortnite update 25.20 will launch on Tuesday, July 25 barring any unexpected delays.
