‘Flabbergasted’ insiders say title of Harry’s memoir is ‘attack on royals’

Prince Harry’s controversial memoir, Spare, will be published on January 10, but royal insiders are said to be taken aback by the bitter title

Royal sources are “flabbergasted” after learning the title of Prince Harry’s highly anticipated memoir, claiming it is “yet another confrontational attack on the family after claiming a desire for privacy”.

Publisher Random House has today confirmed the book is called Spare and features a striking headshot of the royal on the front cover.

Set to hit the shelves next year with a price tag of £28, the book will tell Harry’s version of events in his childhood, including the horrifying day he was forced to walk behind his mother’s coffin at her funeral.

Insiders told The Mirror it’s unclear whether Harry picked the book’s name or the publishing company.
