The long-lingering stereotype of ADHD is a hyper little boy who can’t focus in lessons.
That’s a big part of why so many people make it to adulthood without receiving a diagnosis – they don’t fit this narrow view, so go years without understanding why their brain works the way it does, and why they might find things difficult.
It’s very possible that you might have ADHD but have no clue that’s the case.
A diagnosis of course needs to come from a medical professional, not strangers on TikTok or tick boxes in articles, but it can be helpful to learn more about what ADHD can look and feel like beyond the stereotype, and to explore this further if there are parts you relate to.
