The Howes family, from Portsmouth, welcomed the fifth generation of their family, two-week old Edison, into the same house everyone through to his great-great-grandson had stepped foot in
One family welcomed the fifth generation of their clan into the world, and they’re all males.
Roy Howes met his great-great-grandson, two-week-old Edison for the first time this week, and greeted him in the same house he had welcomed three other generations of Howes.
Over the last six decades, 96-year-old Roy has watched the Howes family grow and grow, but for the first time they gathered five generations in the same place to welcome Edison.
The former Royal Navy serviceman was joined by his son Roy Jnr, 75, his grandson Michael, 48, and his great-grandsons Liam, 23, Alfie, 15 and Lewis, 26 – Edison’s dad.
