Fiorentina put ball in Man Utd’s court over Sofyan Amrabat transfer as demands lowered

Manchester United are yet to lodge an official bid for summer transfer target Sofyan Amrabat, who is expected to be given the green light to leave Fiorentina in the coming weeks

Fiorentina are still waiting for Manchester United to firm up their interest in Sofyan Amrabat with an official bid.

The Morocco international has plenty of suitors all over Europe after impressing for the Atlas Lions in the 2022 World Cup. United are known to be keen on a deal for the 26-year-old, however, funds are tight at Old Trafford after Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund were all signed for significant transfer fees.

Erik ten Hag remains hopeful that more new signings will arrive before next month’s transfer deadline with Amrabat firmly on the Dutchman’s wishlist. And although Amrabat is believed to be keen on the move, nothing appears to be imminent.

That’s because United are yet to table any official offer for his services, according to La Repubblica, via Football Italia. Furthermore, it’s claimed that the Italian outfit are ready to sell Amrabat for €30million (£25.9m) – once they actually receive a bid.
