Ferrari respond to reports that boss Mattia Binotto will be sacked

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Ferrari have publicly denied reports that they are set to sack team principal Mattia Binotto after a hugely disappointing season.

After winning two of the three opening races of 2022, it seemed that Ferrari and their star driver Charles Leclerc were the favourites to win both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships.

However, almost straightaway, the Scuderia’s campaign completely fell apart thanks to a combination of driver errors, reliability issues and awful strategy calls, that handed the advantage to Red Bull and Max Verstappen.

Leclerc and his teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. have gone onto win just two more races, while Red Bull have won 16 in total, 14 of which courtesy of the now two-time champion Verstappen.
