'It's been heartbreaking for our whole family, we're in bits,' Julie, 57, said. 'Roy was a good father to Nicky and a good partner to me for 37 years. I was still with him when he died.' Julie, who has three other children, said while Nicky had depression he had been 'coping with' his struggles well before his father died. 'He hasn't been right since Roy died. He did have mental health issues and they worsened after that. I wasn't worried about him before Roy died.' A devastated young father took his own life weeks after his dad’s death, leaving their family broken.
The body of Nicky Larkin was found dead near a stables in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales.
The 29-year-old was discovered in Bridgend, where his daughter was learning to ride horses.
His family say he died on October 23 after struggling to cope with the impact of father Roy’s passing, WalesOnline report.
