Wilfried Zaha has claimed that he has nothing to prove to Manchester United as he returns to the scene of his unsuccessful spell as Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing.
The winger joined United in 2013 but after Ferguson retired he struggled to win the favour of the new manager David Moyes, and played only four times for the club in two years before returning to Crystal Palace.
Now 30, he will return to Old Trafford on Tuesday night in the Champions League, having joined Galatasaray on a free transfer in the summer. Zaha says that failure has inspired, rather than hindered, his career.
