Jon Rahm’s temper has been tested at the Open Championship this week, and this boiled over during his second round at Royal Liverpool on Friday following a missed putt
Jon Rahm let his feelings be known to those watching this week’s Open Championship, after the fiery Spaniard saw a putt go by during his second round at Royal Liverpool on Friday.
Rahm was left frustated following his opening round on Thursday, after carding a three-over-par round of 74. The Masters champion was not just unhappy with his personal game though, after taking aim at the amount of photographers and camera crews inside the ropes.
Speaking after his outing on Thursday, he said: “I’m trying to walk and there’s way too many people in my way and I can’t go on my pace because they’re in my way. Then I’m walking off 18 and trying to deal with the unlucky moment on 18, and there’s somebody with a boom light on my ass keeping up with Rory’s pace.
“I can’t go at my own pace. That’s kind of the disregard that I existed, that’s all.” On the back of a tough start, Rahm was out to make up for it on Friday.
