At least 11 people have been injured after an explosion on a busy street in Istanbul this afternoon.
Footage shared on social media shows several people lying motionlessly on the ground on İstiklal Avenue, in the historic Beyoğlu district.
Ambulances, fire trucks and police can also be seen rushing to the scene.
Istanbul’s governor Ali Yerlikaya said there are dead and injured following the explosion.
