Paul Pogba has allegedly tested positive for raised levels of testosterone following a random drugs test after Juventus’ 3-0 win over Udinese in Serie A last month
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has allegedly tested positive for testosterone, according to multiple reports in Italy.
Pogba is said to have been called for testing following Juventus ‘ 3-0 win over Udinese on August 20. The 30-year-old did not play in the match, spending it on the substitutes’ bench, but was nevertheless selected for a random test.
That test allegedly showed elevated levels of testosterone. According to various reports, a second test sample will now be checked in order to determine a definitive result. If a positive test is confirmed, Pogba will be tried by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal and could face a two-year ban from the game.
Mirror Football have approached Juventus, Pogba’s representatives and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) for comment.
