In 31 days’ time, the new Premier League season will be in full swing and deadline day will once again be upon us. There’s already been more than £1billion spent around the top flight, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all splashing the cash in pursuit of players such as Declan Rice, Alexis Mac Allister and Mason Mount.
But the huge spending won’t stop despite the return of competitive football, as managers, sporting directors and supporters plead with their club’s bigwigs to back the team with more signings.
