The Miami-based firm have been in negotiations with Farhad Moshiri’s representatives for nearly a year. There were talks on both a minority and majority stakeholdings, but the Telegraph now claim that 777 Partners are set for a full takeover. Moshiri had been hoping to inject cash into the club through a huge investment this summer as he tried to sell a 25 per cent stake in the club. MSP Sports Capital were on the verge of an agreement, but ended up walking away at the 11th hour due to financial concerns around the deal. That’s now opened the door for 777 to jump back in and it appears as though they’ve been given a free run at completing their takeover from Moshiri. With talks seemingly advancing quickly, Everton fans will be hoping the new owners are in place in time for the January transfer window. 777 already have a strong standing in world football with both Vasco da Gama and Genoa improving under the American firm. Everton fans have been crying out for better investment into the playing squad for the past few years now after some disastrous moves.
