Lewis Hamilton, Mae Muller and Ncuti Gatwa were front runners on the list of nominees set to take over the Ethnicity Awards in November.
The Formula 1 racing champion, 38, joined Eurovision star and singer Mae, 25, and Doctor Who’s Ncuti, 30, as leading personalities on the event’s shortlist that was released today.
TV presenters Rochelle Humes and Gok Wan and Liverpool FC and England star Trent Alexander-Arnold were also mentioned ahead of the ceremony that was set up to celebrate the most influential Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in the UK.
Hosted in collaboration with HSBC UK, the annual extravaganza called out personalities they felt deserved accolades in acknowledgement of their achievements and work to promote diversity and inclusion.
