Escape to the Country host Jules Hudson has shared the ‘tricky balance’ of family and work as he offered support to co-star Helen Skelton following her leaving her radio show
Escape to the Country host Jules Hudson has opened up on the “tricky balance” between work and family life as he supports co-star Helen Skelton.
The presenter has worked on the BBC property show since 2007 and hopes to continue for as long as he can. Jules also presents This Week on the Farm alongside Helen Skelton, who recently quit her radio show to spend more time with her three children. The former Strictly star, 40, surprised her fans when she announced her departure from Radio 5 Live after a year at the station.
She explained she wanted to spend more time with her children, admitting that she had found it tough juggling her job with being a single mum. Jules has admitted he also understands the struggle, saying: “Anybody with any busy life will tell you that the balance between your working life and family life can be tricky.
“I’ve got a young son, we’ve got our own life here in Hertfordshire that is very dear to us, so you know, trying to balance it all can be difficult but it’s a partnership, it’s a team effort through the family,” he told The Express. On Helen, he added: “She’s an absolute trooper and a professional, she has an absolutely wicked sense of humour.”
