Erik ten Hag warned he is under pressure for Man Utd job after ‘shambolic’ loss

Man Utd news: Erik ten Hag has been warned he is under pressure for his job (Image: GETTY) Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is “100 per cent” under pressure for his job, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor. The former Aston Villa captain has torn into the Red Devils following their 3-1 loss at home to Brighton on Saturday. United have now lost three of their opening five Premier League matches this season. They sit 13th in the table, already nine points behind leaders Manchester City. It doesn’t get any easier for Ten Hag as United travel to Germany to play Bayern Munich in their first Champions League group stage match on Tuesday. Defeat at the Allianz Arena would be a third successive loss in all competitions. Agbonlahor cannot understand why summer signing Rasmus Hojlund was taken off when United were trailing 2-0 to the Seagulls, a decision that was booed by the home supporters at Old Trafford. The pundit claims Ten Hag is now facing a fight to save his job after what he described as a “shambles” of a performance. When he brought Hojlund off, there was definitely boos from the crowd, big boos at them decisions. “Hojlund for me looked sharp, looked strong, unfortunate not to score with the disallowed goal. But there were other players that needed to be brought off. “At one stage [Bruno] Fernandes was playing at centre-back – it was a shambles. Three late subs when it’s too late, the wrong subs coming on and off. “But it didn’t make sense to bring Hojlund off. Yes he might have been blowing a little bit but I thought he did very well today. They got absolutely destroyed today.”
