Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United appears bleak following his explosive fallout with manager Erik ten Hag, who axed from the squad for the Arsenal game
Erik ten Hag’s concerns over Jadon Sancho’s training displays seemingly surfaced long before he was axed from the squad to play Arsenal this month.
Following United’s dramatic defeat at the Emirates, the Dutch boss was pressed on why the £73million winger had been dropped after featuring in the first four Premier League games of the season. Ten Hag issued a brutal explanation, explaining the decision was made amid poor showings in team sessions from the 23-year-old.
Sancho duly hit back on social media, posting on Twitter: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”
Following reported talks between player and manager, speculation emerged Sancho would make a last ditch move to the Middle East last week, before the Saudi transfer window closed. However, that move never materialised, and the England international returned to Carrington this week for training having deleted his initial post.
