All went very well for Ten Hag as Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial scored the goals in a comfortable victory. Amrabat was deployed at left-back, but with a roving role that allowed him to wander into his preferred midfield and Ten Hag was impressed with the Moroccan on his full debut. 'That's why we play him there, I know he's capable,' said the Dutchman of Amrabat at full-back. 'He's a player, where the team needs him, he plays there. 'He gives contribution to the team, that is quality, but also the energy and the dynamic he brings.' Mount was removed at half-time, replaced by Victor Lindelof, which raised concerns of a recurrence of the injury that has kept him out for the last month. However, Ten Hag confirmed that his substitution at the break was pre-planned and part of his recovery schedule. 'Definitely, [it was planned] before,' said Ten Hag. 'He's returning from an injury and we have to build this up. We go too quickly and we get a drop, we want to avoid that. I think his performance was very good.' The Red Devils boss had little to say on Maguire's performance, which was good, as he partnered Raphael Varane at centre-back. 'He was very solid, just as you can expect from Harry Maguire,' said Ten Hag.
