Andre Onana sealed his move to Manchester United from Inter Milan this week in a £47million deal and is set to make his Red Devils debut against Arsenal in New Jersey on Saturday night
Erik ten Hag says he signed Andre Onana to change the way Manchester United play.
Onana, who signed from Inter Milan for £47million, is set to make his debut against Arsenal in a friendly in New Jersey tomorrow.
He will replace David De Gea, who left United after 12 years, after Ten Hag decided he was not equipped to play out from the back in the style he wanted.
Ten Hag watched how Ederson at Manchester City and Alisson at Liverpool help transform the way the two clubs played, by building out from the back, and concluded United needed a keeper capable of doing the same.
