Flanker will move to Top 14 following Wasps’ demise, remaining eligible to play for England in Six Nations and at the World Cup
Jack Willis will join Toulouse at the end of England’s schedule of autumn internationals and is poised to stay in the Top 14 until at least the end of the current season.
As a Toulouse player, Willis will remain eligible for England selection in next year’s Six Nations and for the 2023 World Cup in France under special dispensation from the Rugby Football Union following the demise of Wasps.
In order to represent his country beyond that, from the 2024 Six Nations, it is thought that the 25-year-old will need to have found a Premiership club. If he spends the 2023-24 campaign in France, though, he would only be able to tour with England in the summer of 2024 if he has agreed to a Premiership return.
There has been plenty of interest in Willis from Premiership sides since he was made redundant from his childhood club last month, both for an immediate deal and to acquire his services ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
