Alessia Russo’s second-half winner has secured Sarina Wiegman’s England a place in the Women’s World Cup semi-finals. With Spain, Sweden and Australia the other three semi-finalists, there will be a new name on the trophy.
England take on co-hosts Australia, who overcame France on penalties, on Wednesday to try and secure a place in their first ever World Cup final.
