That was one of the hardest moments to take, especially following the Euros last year when I wasn't selected. 'There wasn't another camp before selection and for a couple of days I thought, 'I've worked so hard all season, but it's not just meant to be.' I had some really important games at Manchester United - fighting for the league title and we had the FA Cup final too - that really helped shift my focus to doing the best that I could for my club and hopefully whatever I did was enough.' Asked if that made her appearance in the final Group D game 'special,' she replied: 'One hundred per cent. The girls were talking about it a few days ago that it was a year to the day when the won the Euros. So it was a year to the day when I was sitting at home watching them win the Euros.
