Lioness Lauren James has scored some incredible goals for the England Women’s team but her success isn’t much of a surprise to her family who are all big football lovers
Lauren James has put on a show-stopping performance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup so far, scoring sublime goals for the Lionesses against China, but has today sparked controversy after being sent off for standing on a Nigerian player.
The 21-year-old from London saw backlash for the ‘Beckham-esque stamp’ that earned her a red card and it’s likely she’ll be turning to her family for some support after the incident.
The forward, who also plays for Chelsea, is part of a rather famous football family and it’s clear to see that the sport is in her blood, with her brother and father both involved in the game.
Lauren’s older brother is professional footballer Reece James who plays as right back for Chelsea and England. The pair have previously made history as the first brother and sister to play for England. The siblings also share an older brother Joshua, who is on the other side of the game and is said to do the books for Fulham and Reading.
