England announce XV to face New Zealand as Eddie Jones hands Farrell 100th cap

England take on New Zealand at Twickenham at the weekend in a rematch of the World Cup semi-final after comprehensively beating Japan last week

Eddie Jones has named an England team which he Insists is “ready to go at” New Zealand in Saturday’s World Cup semi-final rematch.

Owen Farrell wins his 100th cap in a back line showing two changes with the return from injury of right wing Jack Nowell and centre Manu Tuilagi in place of Joe Cokanasiga and Guy Potter respectively.

In a major vote of confidence for Jack van Poortvliet, the Leicester scrum-half is preferred to his vastly experienced club mate Ben Youngs.

Up front Jones has reshaped his back five, dropping lock david Ribbans after his debut against Japan and moving Maro Itoje into the second row. Sam Simmonds switches from No8 to blindside flanker with Billy Vunipola returning to the starting line-up at No8 in a power-packed unit.
