Emmerdale’s Cathy Hope sparks romance with unlikely villager

Emmerdale  teen Cathy Hope (played by Gabrielle Dowling) will be delighted in upcoming episodes of the ITV  soap when Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) agrees to go on a date with her. Official spoilers reveal Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) will be left stunned when Cathy reveals her new plan to cure her Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) symptoms. The youngster made the life-changing decision on Wednesday night to have a hysterectomy, which would mean she could never conceive a child of her own in the future. Elsewhere, upcoming scenes will see Cathy’s heart soar when Samson reciprocates her flirty banter. Later, Cathy’s pleased to confirm her date with Samson for that evening. Doctors informed her she had PMDD, but Cathy’s dad Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) was left very worried following his daughter’s shock decision. However, as the teen turns her attention to other areas of her life, she might end up changing her mind about rushing into such a big decision.  It comes a year after Cathy initially started developing feelings for Samson, and while he rejected her at the time, it seems he has now had a change of heart. Emmerdale: Cathy has been struggling with her physical and mental health (Image: ITV) Cathy ended up enduring some drama regarding her crush though, because she believed Samson liked her until she found out he’d slept with Amelia and she’d fallen pregnant. Could the two now become an item if Samson has changed his mind about Cathy? Perhaps the villages will both find some happiness together, but could Cathy’s diagnosis get int he way of their happy ever after? Fans will know Cathy has been struggling with her mental and physical symptoms for a long time. Earlier this year, the schoolgirl even suffered a manic episode and almost killed herself. Could the hysterectomy help the youngster to move past her traumatic experiences? Emmerdale continues on Friday at 7pm on ITV.
