The storyline reaches somewhat of a turning point tonight, as Naomi, Nicola and the group of girls head to court. Despite the fact it's been a difficult few months for Naomi, Karene Peter has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of what she thinks is an incredibly important storyline, as she tells us here: 'Joint enterprise is a very real thing as is gang violence and intimidation. It's also important that the exploration of these stories is done and that things like a 'gang attack' is not just taken at face value. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time can have massive implications and ensuring that the correct perpetrators are penalised is of utmost importance. 'It's been so fun and intricate to get into the bones of. There are complexities surrounding all the decisions and emotions Naomi has had to make and go through. It's been a challenge to play and bring that all to life. The story needed to be told and Nicola deserved to be vindicated, so it's great that there is an end in sight.' With Nicola Wheeler previously telling us the court scenes and ordeal will change Nicola as a character, Karene explains the other side to this story, revealing how tonight's episode will impact Naomi: 'She never wanted it to come to this and it's become so much more serious than she ever imagined', she said.
