Emmerdale star lands new role away from the soap after rumours he’s quitting after 12 years

EMMERDALE star Liam Fox has landed a brand new role away from the soap.

It comes just weeks after it was rumoured he could be set to exit the ITV show after more than 12 years.

The actor, who has played Dan Spencer on Emmerdale since 2011, will swap the Yorkshire Dales for the stage when he appears in Pantomime over the festive season.

Liam, 51, has signed a big money deal to play Abanazar in a Christmas production of classic tale Aladdin.

The role will see him take to the stage at St Helens’ Theatre Royal for a seven-week run from December 2 – January 14 ’24.
