Emma Raducanu has gone back on her vow to stick with her modest motor after being seen behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet. After her sensational 2021 US Open win, the British teenager struck up a lucrative deal with the German car manufacturer, becoming a brand ambassador for the company.Indeed, despite struggling for form in 2022, the star continues to attract sponsors, earning more than £22 million this year. For context, that exceeds the amount taken home by world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, despite the Pole winning two Grand Slam titles in France and America.Despite her escalating net worth, only a month ago Raducanu insisted she would be sticking with her Dacia Sandero car, which she bought secondhand for £5,000 two years ago. However, it seems the temptation to embrace her partnership with Porsche has got the better of her, with the Daily Mail reporting she arrived at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton in her flash new vehicle. The silver car, with a red soft top, has a maximum speed of 192mph and can rack up 0-62mph in a frightening 3.6 seconds. And prices for the car far exceed that of her Dacia, with the 911 on the market for £124,800. Whenever I would turn up to practice, I would see his Porsche and it made me dream of one day sitting in my own.”My favourite car is the 911 for sure. Throughout the generations it’s so unique and beautiful in every way. I feel like it’s one of the most iconic cars that are out there. It’s really important for me to align with partners and brands that I really feel passionate about and that I identify with.”DON’T MISS:Novak Djokovic makes Wimbledon declaration as Serb reflects on turbulent seasonDaniil Medvedev warns Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic ahead of ATP Finals in TurinNovak Djokovic assesses Paris Masters chances as Serb faces possible Rafa Nadal showdown Raducanu struggled for form in 2022.
