Lose Yourself singer Eminem has reportedly sent a cease and desist letter banning Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy from using his music during his 2024 campaign trail after the politician rapped his hit song
Rapper Eminem is said to have demanded that Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy stops rapping his music during his 2024 campaign trail for U.S. President.
The 50-year-old rapper reportedly sent the Presidential candidate a cease and desist letter demanding he does not use his music after Vivek rapped his hit song Lose Yourself at the Iowa State Fair as he spoke alongside Iowa’s Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds. According to a letter obtained by the Daily Mail, Eminem contacted the music licenser BMI and asked them to revoke Vivek’s campaign license to use his music.
A representative for BMI reportedly shared a letter with Vivek’s campaign lawyer who said: “Received communications from Marshall B. Mathers, III, professionally known as Eminem, objecting to the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign’s use of Eminem’s musical compositions (the “Eminem Works”) and requesting that BMI remove all Eminem Works from the Agreement.”
