Twitter’s rebrand hits a stumbling block after Indonesia stops access to new web domain
Elon Musk’s chaotic rebrand of Twitter has hit another stumbling block after it emerged its new X web domain was blocked in parts of Asia under anti-pornography laws.
Indonesia prevented x.com from being accessed by the country’s 270m inhabitants on Tuesday.
Officials in the majority-Muslim country claimed the domain had a history of being linked to gambling and pornography.
The website had been left blank for the past six years except for a single letter x.
