EastEnders’ dramatic latest episode of the BBC soap may have teased a big return was on the way for a past character in the fallout to Cindy Beale heading back to Walford
EastEnders may have teased the big return of another past character on the BBC soap, following a major discovery on Monday night.
Cindy Beale, played by Michelle Collins, made her dramatic return to Walford after over two decades away. Cindy made a shock comeback to the soap earlier this year, after being killed off offscreen in 1998, while Monday saw her step back into Walford for the first time since the 90s.
It was revealed Cindy had gone into witness protection, while her husband Ian Beale was told she had died in prison during childbirth. Cindy gave birth to her daughter Cindy Jr in prison after being imprisoned for trying to have Ian killed.
All these years later, details given in the latest episode confirmed Ian and Cindy had somehow come into contact over a year ago which Cindy said was linked to them grieving for her children Stephen and Lucy Beale, both of whom had died on the BBC soap at different times.
