EastEnders fans believe Shona McGarty’s character Whitney Dean’s looming exit from the BBC soap after 15 years on Albert Square could tie in with the Christmas Day death
EastEnders viewers have come up with a worrying theory about how Whitney Dean will leave the BBC soap, following the news of her looming exit. After 15 years in the show, actress Shona McGarty will bow out in a storyline that is yet to be confirmed by EastEnders.
Reports suggest the actress is leaving the show for good in early 2024, which happens to be just after the big Christmas episodes. This Christmas Day, a mystery male character will be killed off in a death twist at The Queen Vic pub.
The storyline was teased back in February with a special flashforward clip revealing the moment an apparent murder takes place in the famous pub. The identity of the dead male is not known, while recent scenes have teased a number of characters could die.
What is known about the scene is that six female characters are at the scene of the crime, and these are Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Denise Fox, Sharon Watts and Linda Carter. It seems a fight has taken place as some of the ladies are covered in blood or have their clothes ripped, while Denise is holding a broken wine bottle.
