EastEnders fans spot Christmas ‘murder weapon’ in new scene as victim ‘sealed’

EastEnders viewers noticed a possible Christmas clue in the latest episode of the BBC soap, during a scene between the Beales and the Knights – and it could be the murder weapon used in the looming death

EastEnders viewers noticed a new Christmas death clue in the latest episode of the BBC soap, and it could be the murder weapon.

While it won’t be the exact weapon, it was identical to something that featured in the Christmas flashforward clip back in February. At the time, the item in question was tipped to be the weapon used to kill a mystery male character in scenes that will air this December. Some viewers thought the item had been used to kill the dead man on the floor, while others thought it might be too obvious.

The item in question is a champagne bottle, and the same styled bottle was shown in a scene on Thursday night. This Christmas, events will lead to Denise Fox wielding a smashed version of the bottle with it possibly covered in blood. So with this potentially being the murder weapon, surely it was no coincidence that the same branded bottle appeared in a scene at The Queen Vic, the scene of the crime, on Thursday?

Perhaps the positioning of the bottle in the new scene is a clue as to who dies, with it being placed in front of Ian Beale. Ian is one of the men tipped to be killed off in the major twist along with others including Nish Panesar, Ravi Gulati and Jack Branning. Only one of them men are set to die in yet-to-be-revealed circumstances – but is the bottle a big clue that Ian might die, or that at least one person in the scene on Thursday will be involved?
