Not well, it has to be said. After Amy overheard Sam telling Jack about her self-harming she rushed off. Jack went to find Denzel (Jaden Ladega) to see if he knew where she might have gone and Denzel suggested the park. Jack went there and found his daughter, but rather than trying to give her the space to talk to him, he resorted to a bit of a lecture. He told her she had a nice, steady life – so what could be so bad that she couldn't cope with it? Without waiting for an answer he told her, 'I thought you were smarter than this.' Amy reacted angrily, saying she was obviously a massive disappointment to him, and rushed off in tears. Knowing that Sam had managed to get through to Amy where he had failed, he asked Sam to come over for a chat. He talked about how Amy had been so perfect as a baby he'd hated the thought of her being marked by tattoos when she grew up. He wanted to know if the cuts would leave scars. Sam thought they might, 'But no one gets through life without scars.' Jack said that part of him wanted to be able to hug Amy and make her feel better like he could do when she was little, but part of him was too scared to speak to her at all. He was grateful for Sam's support and gave her a platonic hug. Unfortunately at that moment Denise (Diane Parish) came in and saw the two in what looked like an embrace. Once again, she was left feeling pushed out by Sam. Is this going to rip the family further apart? EastEnders continues Wednesday November 16 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
