FORMER Southampton forward Dusan Tadic has left Ajax as a free agent.
The 34-year-old asked for his contract to be terminated earlier this week following lengthy discussions with club chiefs.
In a statement on the official Ajax website, he said: “The decision to leave the club has been a very difficult one.
“However, I think now is the right time, I feel that it is not only for me but also the best for the club to have a new start.
“The time I’ve had at Ajax and the successes I’ve been able to experience are indescribable feelings that I’ve never experienced before in my career, so I want to thank all the fans for the fantastic time I’ve had here.”
