For the supermarket job she was hired by a temporary workers’ agency. She did not even get paid. When she raised the con with Citizens Advice she was told that she would have to pay to take it to court. Then a few months later she found herself out of pocket again after spotting that she had been underpaid for a bar job, with little recourse.
