Donald Trump might announce presidential run ‘before Thanksgiving’

Donald Trump might announce his third run for the White House before Thanksgiving, a news report has claimed. Mr Trump, who lost the presidential elections in 2020, might use the opportunity to announce his next run if the Republicans win the the upcoming midterm elections.A news report by The Telegraph citing an adviser stated that Mr Trump could use positive Republican results on November 8 as a launchpad for his 2024 campaign, and may declare in the following weeks.A senior Trump adviser told The Telegraph: “I think like a moth to a flame Trump will run in 2024. I think that he wants to run, and announcing before Thanksgiving [on November 24] gives him a great advantage over his opponents, and he understands that.”Mr Trump, 75, lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden but refused to concede. He falsely claimed that there was widespread electoral fraud and attempted to overturn the results, pressuring government officials, mounting scores of unsuccessful legal challenges, and obstructing the presidential transition. I give him a ton of credit…for not stepping in the way of the midterm candidates.”That was certainly my advice from the beginning, wait until after the midterms. I think you can expect him to announce soon.”There is still a possibility Mr Trump could use a rally in Ohio on November 7, the eve of the midterm elections, to make a surprise announcement.DON’T MISS:Lindsay Hoyle swipes at Matt Hancock over I’m a Celebrity appearance [INSIGHT]Putin threatens UK with ‘unpredictable and dangerous’ response [SPOTLIGHT]Albania PM tells UK to provide visas to his young people  [REVEAL] Joe Biden’s approval rating is currently at 40 per cent (Image: Getty Images)Ms Conway added: “He’s been urged by some people to still have a November surprise, but we’re trying to mitigate November surprises for all the [midterm] candidates.”She said Mr Trump would “end up being a big winner” in the midterms, and advised anyone interested in his 2024 announcement to “keep your cell phone on” after that.Declaring so far ahead of 2024 would force Mr Trump’s rivals for the Republican presidential nomination, including Florida governor Ron DeSantis, to reassess their positions.Ms Conway said explicitly that Mr DeSantis should sit out 2024.She continued: “Why not go be the best two-term governor of the third-largest state in modern history, if not ever, and then walk into the presidency in 2028?”Earlier in January this year, Mr Trump called himself the 47th President of the United States, hinting that he might want to contest the Presidency elections in 2024.A video was recorded of the ex-POTUS playing golf, in which the person recording called Mr Trump as the 45th President of the United States. The former president immediately corrected the person and said: “45th and 47th.”
