A doctor to the stars has warned that people are “damaging their brains” with 11 common things – without even realising the effect they’re having.
Dr Daniel Amen spoke of the importance of maintaining a healthy brain, even for those without psychiatric or mental health issues. He said the brain is so important because it’s “involved in everything you do.”
“How you think, how you feel, how you act, how you get along with other people. Your brain is the organ of intelligence, character and every single decision that you make,” he explained.
“And when your brain works right, you work right. And when your brain is troubled, for whatever reason, mould, Covid, head trauma, not sleeping, chronic stress – when your brain’s not right, you’re sadder, sicker, poorer, less successful.”
