Thousands of passengers still face chaos and crippled services, despite RMT strikes being called off late on Friday evening
Train companies are being urged to “do everything humanly possible” to run a full timetable by Monday, as it emerged that some services are set to remain “severely disrupted”.
Thousands of passengers faced chaos on Saturday as rail services were crippled despite the RMT union strikes being called off late on Friday evening.
Rugby fans travelling to Cardiff for the Wales v New Zealand game were among those hit by Saturday’s disruption, with match-goers advised not to travel by train.
Principality Stadium manager Mark Williams told supporters: “Please plan your journey carefully, plan ahead and aim to get to Cardiff as early as possible.”
