A British Airways pilot has spoken out against the âunthinkable’ actions of a colleague who was sacked after he allegedly snorted cocaine off a topless woman before a flight.
Married First Officer Mike Beaton boasted about snorting the Class A drug off a woman’s bare breasts before attempting to fly 430 passengers back to the UK. He is alleged to have boasted to a cabin crew member about taking it ahead of a long-haul flight from South Africa to London. The flight was cancelled when the female crew member raised the alarm.
In graphic detail he’d allegedly described getting drunk on vodka and taking cocaine with a woman, hours before he was due to take-off. He was subsequently suspended and flown back to the UK as a passenger before taking a drugs test – when it came back positive he was sacked.
Now a BA captain has spoken out about his former colleague. They told MailOnline : “Talking to pilot colleagues, we feel hugely let down by this individual.” They added similar incidents involving alcohol in cockpits were “beyond rare – unthinkable”.
