Unexpected reshuffle makes way for six newcomers
Deloitte has axed half of its 16-person executive team and replaced them with younger partners as part of a major overhaul of its UK leadership.
The Big Four accounting and consulting firm said eight of its most senior partners, including its managing partner, will leave its executive team to make way for six newcomers in an unexpected reshuffle.
Three women are departing the board while only one will join, meaning the female representation among its most senior ranks will fall from 37.5pc to 28.6pc.
Deloitte said the reshuffle, which will see the size of the executive team shrink to 14, will allow a younger generation of partners to accrue enough experience to run for chief executive by the time Richard Houston, the current incumbent and senior partner, steps down in 2027.
