Dead firebombing suspect in immigration centre attack was 66, say police

Further details have been released about the man who hurled a petrol bomb on an immigration centre in Dover yesterday.

Kent Police confirmed he was found dead at a nearby petrol station and has now been formally identified.

What we know is that the suspect is aged 66, but his name and details about his motives are yet to be released.

Officers are now searching his address in High Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire, as part of an investigation into the attack.

A statement from the force said: ‘Kent Police officers investigating an incident at the immigration centre in Dover on Sunday are being assisted by colleagues from Thames Valley Police to carry out a warrant at a property in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, on Monday 31 October.
