David Walliams ‘sues’ Britain’s Got Talent bosses over X-rated rant

David Walliams is allegedly suing Britain’s Got Talent bosses after he was axed from the ITV show. The former Little Britain star is reportedly seeking significant damages following his resignation from the show back in November. A transcript of comments he made regarding some Britain’s Got Talent contestants during a break were leaked and his future on the show was put into question. He was heard calling one OAP a “c***” three times and said of another: “She thinks you want to f*** her, but you don’t,” whilst he thought his microphone was off. When the news first came out, David apologised for the comments which were made public at the end of last year. However, deciding to back down from the fight, he resigned from the show two weeks later. It has now been claimed that David is going head-to-head with BGT production company Fremantle, over the leak. The Sun reported that David lodged his papers at London’s High Court last Thursday and accused Fremantle of a data protection breach over the leaked transcript. In a statement issued before he quit, Walliams said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020. “These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.” Responding to the claims and statement, ITV said it did not “condone” the language used and had spoken to producers of BGT. Express.co.uk has contacted ITV, David Walliams’ representatives, and Fremantle for a comment. Britain’s Got Talent is available to watch on ITVX.
